Gold’s Smashburger Taco
Gourmet tacos are all the rage…so add this recipe to your Taco Tuesday menu at home.

SMASH BURGER GOLD’S DELICATESSEN MUSTARD TACOS

Serves: 4

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1-lb ground beef or plant-based alternative
  • 3 tablespoons Gold’s Traditional Delicatessen Mustard
  • 6 small flour tortillas (street taco size tortillas work best)
  • Cheddar cheese, optional

TO SERVE:

Preparation:

  1. In a medium bowl, mix the ground beef with the mustard. Divide into 6. Press the beef into a thin layer onto each tortilla.
  2. Preheat a frying pan or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat. Once smoking, add the tortilla to the pan, beef side down, and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until cooked to desired doneness.
  3. While cooking, flatten with a spatula. Flip, and top with cheese, if desired, to help the cheese melt, place a lid on top of the pan for 30 seconds. Repeat with remaining tortillas.
  4. Serve the tacos with shredded iceberg lettuce, pickles, Gold’s Delicatessen Mustard, and optional “special sauce”.
