Truly Deviled Eggs

Blend together 4 finely chopped, hard cooked egg yolks, 1 tsp. prepared horseradish, 1 tsp. minced onion, 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce, 1/4 C. mayonnaise, 1/8 tsp. salt.  spoon mixture into 8 egg - white halves.

Cowboy Burger

1 Egg
1 Clove garlic, minced
1/4C. Dry bread crumbs
1 Small onion, grated
1 1/2 Tbs. Prepared Horseradish
1/2 Tsp. Salt
1/4 Tsp. Pepper
1 LB Lean ground beef

In bowl, beat egg; mix in garlic, bread crumbs, seafood sauce, onion, horseradish, salt and pepper. Mix in beef; shape into six 3/4-inch thick patties. Place on greased grill over medium-high heat/coals; cook for 6 minutes per side or until no longer pink inside. Serve on hamburger buns with lettuce, tomato and onion slices.

Yield: 6 servings

 

 

Mix 4 hard-cooked eggs (chopped), 1 tsp. horseradish, 1 tsp. minced onion, 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce, 1/4 C. mayonnaise or salad dressing and 1/4 tsp. salt.  Serve on wheat or rye toast.

Before baking chicken wings, marinate in horseradish and catsup (1/2 C. each), 1/4 C. sugar, 1/3C. lemon-lime soda, 1/4C. water and 2 tbsp. oil.  Season with garlic salt and pepper.  Turn and baste while baking.


Melt 2 lbs. pounds processed cheese spread, 8 oz. horseradish, 1 C. mayonnaise and dash of
hot pepper sauce.  Spread on toast points.


Add horseradish to beef.    Or-Add a tsp. of horseradish to scrambled eggs.


Dredge 1-1/4 lbs. boneless round steak (sliced into serving sized) in seasoned flour.  Brown in 1/4C. hot vegetable oil.  Add 1 C. water and top each piece with 1/2 to 1 tsp. of horseradish.  cover, reduce heat and simmer 45 minutes.

Grill shredded potato (try frozen hash browns, thawed) with finely chopped onion and horseradish, salt and pepper on lightly oiled griddle.


Grill mushrooms after marinating in olive oil, lime juice, zest of lime, horseradish, parsley and black pepper.



Blend 1/2 C. mayonnaise or salad dressing with 1/4 C. sour cream and 3 tbsp. horseradish.  Add 1 C. clear French dressing, stirring till smooth.  Serve on garden salad.


Perk up an elegant salad with vinaigrette dressing spiked with horseradish.


Make a vegetable dip by blending 1/2 C. cottage cheese, 2 tbsp. horseradish, 1 tbsp. low-calorie mayonnaise or salad dressing, 1 tbsp. lemon juice, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 tsp. dry mustard, 2 packets artificial sweetener.
